Detailed information of  Southeast University MBBS Fee Structure

1. Tuition Fee:  32,000 RMB/ year

The total for the 6 years program is 196,800 RMB.

2. Insurance Fee:  600 RMB/ year

3. Dormitory Fee:  11000 to 15000 RMB for  two-bedroom per year

Room rate depends on the location and facilities.

4. Accommodation Fee: RMB 6000-7200 (Double room)

5. Living Cost: 2050-2,550 RMB/Month

6. Book Fee: 1000 RMB/year

After you are admitted, we will inform you via email for your confirmation of acceptance. Afterward, we will issue the admission letter, JW201/202 Form for visa application. If you wish to live on the campus, please complete the Housing Application form.

Prepare Your Departure:

Before your departure, be sure to take the following materials:

Southeast University is recognized by WHO and the graduates of MBBS program are eligible to take the Medical Licensing Examinations held by the medical councils in different countries such as PLAB (UK) , USMLE (USA) , MCI ,PMDC,BMDC, NMC.

Apply for a course in a Chinese University is very easy.  Students just have to follow some steps to apply for their favorite course. In order to help students complete their online application, overseas students are recommended to follow the following simple instructions.

International applicants must provide the following documents to apply:

1.  Application Form  (fills in Chinese or in English.)

2. Passport & Passport Size Photo (Scan copy of the applicant’s )

• Passport 

Dear student, the first thing you need to have a passport. This is more important documents because without a passport you can not go to study in your dream country. To have passport make you secure to live or study abroad. So if you don’t have it, we suggest you make your passport ready from the embassy office in your home country. Moreover if you have your passport already, then make sure your passport expiry date will not be expired. If it already be expired then you need to remake your passport.

• Passport Size Photo

The passport photo size (50mm x 40mm) in general. The photo should be clear and the background must be plain, white or off-white in color. The height of the head should be between 28mm – 33mm.The head width has to be between 21mm–24mm. Submit a color photo, taken in the last 6 months. Use a clear image of your face. Passport photo should not use filters on the face or take your photo from someone else or selfies. Take off your eyeglasses for your photo. Here is the sample of Passport Size Photo.

3. Transcript and Certificate

Applicants for Doctorate Degree have to provide their both (undergraduate and graduate) transcripts and certificates.  To note this point that is,  transcripts and certificates should be  notarized. here is the sample of Notarized Copy.

Note: Transcripts in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with translation in Chinese or English.

4. CV/Resume

Applicants must have to prepare their CV if they want to study in abroad in their desired country. The Resume or CV should include their academic qualifications with results, personal details (name, date of birth, marital status, national Id or school Id, physical address, contact no, nationality, language, etc), reference from your institution’s faculty (his/her name, address and designation), personal achievement, etc. To know how to make a standard CV please click here the sample of  The Resume.

5. Recommendation Letter

Applicants for all graduate studies need two letters of recommendation from full professors or associate professors (in Chinese or English). Letters must include professors’ phone number and email address.

6. Foreign Physical Examination

Applicants are expected to keep the original copies filled in English. The medical examination must cover all the items listed in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form. Incomplete records or those without the signature of the attending physician, the official stamp of the hospital or a sealed photograph of the applicants are invalid. 7. Police Verification (No Criminal Record)

This is also need to have ready for the study purpose. It is important because foreign country does not allow criminal record. A Police Clearance Certificate is an official document approved  by the police or government agencies in order to prove that the applicant has no criminal offense against him/her like arrest, conviction. Southeast University MBBS program is recognized by the Ministry of Education of China, according to Provisional Regulations on Quality Control Standards of English-Taught Medical Undergraduate Education for International Students in China. Southeast University is one of the qualified universities in China to enlist foreign students in the English-taught undergraduate program of medicine.

The program aim is to cultivate qualified international medical professionals, giving due consideration to the possible needs of them to serve in their motherland or other countries. After completing the total required credits, students will be delivered diploma by Southeast University and qualified students will receive the Bachelor Degree of Medicine Science (MBBS). Graduates will have the opportunity to enlist for Physician Qualification Exam according to the relative regulations of the respective country. Taught in English, the program is open for foreign students in pursuit of the science and practice of medicine, whose courses are offered by Medical College, SEU.

Medical College of Southeast University, originated from Nanjing Railway Medical College, whose origin can be traced back to the Medical College of the Central University established in 1935, was merged to Southeast University in 2000. The university enjoys its prestige home and abroad for its long history and high-quality education. College of Medicine, Southeast University (SEU), is situated by the scenic Xuanwu Lake in Nanjing, a historic and cultural city of China, bordering Hunan Street, a national famous business street. The campus boasts beautiful sceneries all around the year.

The College of Medicine is an important base in the national medical education. With 193,000 sq. m. of modern teaching and laboratory buildings, gymnasiums and libraries, College of Medicine, Southeast university covers the total area of 263,000 sq. m. The libraries collect around 400,000 copies of books and approximately 1500 kinds of foreign periodicals. The Clinical Experimental Center, which is under construction, will facilitate the medical students with modern clinical techniques, by means of the simulative electronic patient system.
