Admission Required Documents :

Applicants must meet the following conditions :

1. Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens with valid foreign passports.
2. Applicants must abide by the rules and regulations of China and the university, be of good character and respect Chinese social customs and habits.
3. Applicant is physically and mentally healthy, has no serious diseases, infectious diseases or serious physical defects. Applicant must pass the required national admission medical examination.
4. Candidates who apply for programs taught in Chinese shall provide a copy of their HSK  certificate (within the 2-year validity period) or other equivalent Chinese proficiency certification. The applicant’s HSK4 score must be above 190, excepting those whose mother tongue is Chinese or who attended high school courses taught in Chinese. Those whose HSK scores are below 190 must attend a one-year Chinese refresher course. Non-native English speaking applicants who apply for programs taught in English are required to provide TOEFL or IELTS scores.
5. Scores of an internationally recognized standardized test (Such as the SAT/ACT/A-Level/ AP/IB, etc.)
6. An official transcript of the applicant’s highest educational degree (original copy and Chinese or English notarized copy).
7. An official certificate of the applicant’s highest educational degree (original copy and Chinese or English notarized copy).

    Bachelor Degree Program: Graduation certificate of national/district unified high school.

8. Certificate of No Criminal Record.
9. The International Student Economic Guarantee Copy of the passport and work or income certificate of the guarantor.

Other materials, for example, certificate of reward, certificate of honor, scanned pictures of published papers.

Eligibility :

• Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens with a valid passport in compliance with the provisions of Nationality Law of the People’s Republic of China, between the ages of 18 and 25, and have attained a senior high school diploma.
• Applicants should have good command of English and be able to take courses in English. All the applicants should pass the English Level Test at the beginning of the first semester at Beihang University.
• According to the relevant regulations of Chinese Ministry of Education, former residents of mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan who have emigrated to other countries and are applying as international students, must present valid passport or citizenship documents dating from before April 30, 2016 and proof of cancellation of Chinese nationality, along with proof of residence abroad for at least 2 years from April 30, 2016 to April 30, 2020 (9 months of residence abroad per year may be considered as one year).

Required Documents:

1. Application Form for Undergraduate Program.
2. Copy of the page with personal information in the passport (ordinary passport).
3. Highest Education Diploma (notarized photocopy or original one) or Certificate of expected graduation date from the high school studying currently.
4. Notarized Transcripts.
5. Photocopy of Foreigner Physical Examination Form and the Report on Blood Examination (Download).
6. The results of TOEFL, IELTS, or English Proficiency Certificate for the applicant whose educational language is not English (80 or above in TOEFL, 5.5 or above in IELTS )
7. Certificate from the financial guarantor of the applicant and bank statement (Download).
8. Applicants under the age of 18 (born after 30 April 2002) should provide:
   • Birth certificate.
   • Nationality proof of both parents at the time of applicant‘s birth, including proof of their permanent residency abroad.

9. Applicants who formerly were residents of mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan and have emigrated to other countries should present:
   • Valid passport or citizenship documents dating from before April 30, 2016.
   • Proof of cancellation of Chinese nationality.
   • Proof of residence abroad for at least 2 years from April 30, 2016 to April 30, 2020 (9 months of residence abroad per year may be considered as one year).

The language of documents should be in English or Chinese or attached with translations in English or Chinese.

Qualifications:

• Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good health both physically and mentally with good academic background, observe Chinese laws as well as university rules and regulations, and respect Chinese customs.
• Educational background and age limit:
  Applicants must have a high school diploma or certification of equivalent education, between 18 and 28 years old. The high school diploma must be ready prior to the registration day.
• Language Requirements:
  Applicants who apply for Chinese-taught programs must have the result of HSK4 or above
  Applicants who apply for English-taught programs and were taught in non-English must achieve minimum requirements for IELTS (Academic) total score 5.5, or TOEFL score 80.

Required Documents:

1. Copy of valid passport information page.
2. Copy of high school diploma and official transcripts. If the above materials are neither in Chinese nor in English, one has to present notarized Chinese or English versions.Note: If applicants are enrolled as current university students in China, they should also submit the study certificate and approved transfer letter from their previous institutions.
3. Language Proficiency Certificate :
   For English-taught program applicants: copy of official IELTS certificate or TOFEL certificate.
   For Chinese-taught program applicants: copy of HSK certificate.
4. Motivation Letter :
   Applicants shall submit reports written in English or Chinese with a minimum of 800 words about their study intention at NJUST. The report includes the educational background, working experiences, motivation of studying at NJUST, reasons for choosing majors, and personal career planning after graduation, etc.
5. Photocopy of Foreigner Physical Examination Form :
   You shall fill out the form in English or in Chinese and keep the original form. The medical examination must cover all the items listed in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form. Incomplete forms or forms without the signature of the attending physician, the official stamp of the hospital, or a sealed photograph of the applicant will be considered as invalid. Please carefully arrange your physical examination schedule as the physical examination result is valid for only 6 months.
6. Certificate of Guarantee, proof of the guarantor’s financial ability (mainly including statement of employment and income, certificate of bank deposit or other proof of financial ability).

Eligibility :

• Foreign citizens, in good physical and mental health, and awarded a certificate of graduation from high school.
• Academic performance.

Required Documents :

Outstanding academic performance. Proof should be provided through (but not limited to) the following document(s):

1. High school/University (if applicable) transcripts (in Chinese or English).
2. Certificate of National/Regional Graduation Examination/Matriculation Examination.
3. Results of international standard tests (e.g. SAT/ACT/A-Level/AP/IB/others).
4. Other supporting materials.
5. Language proficiency :
   a) Chinese language proficiency of HSK Level 5 or above, with each subject scored over 60 points. Chinese language proficiency of HSK Level 4 (with each subject scored over 60 points) is eligible too, however, applicants must improve to Level 5 or above with each subject scored over 60 points within the first academic year in Tsinghua University. Students who do not achieve this will be required to leave Tsinghua University. Applicants whose native language is Chinese or can provide proof of studying at a high school where the teaching language is Chinese, can apply for HSK test waiver in the Online Application System for further approval by Tsinghua University.
   b) Good English language proficiency. For those whose native language is not English, please provide test report of English language test (e.g. TOEFL/IELTS/others).
6. Aged 18 or above (by September 1, 2020). For the applicants under 18, please bring the relevant supporting documents to the official registration (Please see Attachment 2 for details).
7. For those who have given up their original Chinese citizenship and become foreign citizens, the conditions set by the Document No. 83 (2009) of Ministry of Education of the PRC should be met. (Download)

Eligibility :

• Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good physical and mental health, aged between 18 and 25, and possess a valid foreign passport with a validity of at least six months. Relevant supporting documents will be needed for applicants who are under the age of 18 at the point of application and entry. For further information on the exact documents required please send us an e-mail through the contact details provided at the bottom.
• The eligibility for applicants who hold a foreign passport but used to be a Chinese citizen, will be in accordance with Document No.83 (2009) of the PRC Ministry of Education(Download).
• Academic qualification: Applicants for undergraduate programs must have a graduation certificate of a senior high school with good academic performance.

Note: Applicants who have not graduated yet must submit an expected graduation certificate certified by their current institution. It should contain the expected date of graduation. When admitted to SDU, the applicant must provide an original graduation certificate upon registration. Failure to do so will invalidate their admission offer.

Language requirements :

Chinese-taught :

• New HSK Level 4 (210 points or higher, HSK is a standard Chinese proficiency test).
• The only exception of the Chinese proficiency test requirement is for applicants who have obtained their highest degree in an institution where the primary language of instruction is Chinese. Then official proof must be submitted.

Required Documents :

1. The biographic (information) page of your passport.
2. Graduation certificate / document of the expected graduation date (must be notarized).
3. Official, up-to-date transcripts for all high-school courses the applicant has undertaken.
4. Personal Statement (PS) in Chinese or English.
    Note: Applicants for English-medium programs must submit an English PS. In addition to self-introduction, a PS should at least address the following questions: why are you applying for SDU? Why does your chosen course subject area interest you? What is your study plan in SDU?
5. Certificate of language proficiency.
6. Completed Foreigner Physical Examination Form (valid for 6 months).
7. After obtaining an e-offer, applicants may be required to submit their proof of funding documentation (e.g. a bank statement). Chinese Government Scholarship recipients will be exempt from the above.
8. Any other supplementary materials.

Notes :

• Applicants should maintain the highest standards of candor and upload the scanned version of all needed documentation on time.
• All documents in languages other than Chinese and English must be officially translated into English/Chinese and certified by your institution.
• Incomplete applications will not be processed.
• The University will ask the applicant to complement needed materials if necessary.
